Typing Test

Instructions

To begin the online typing test, type as much of the following paragraph as you can in a one-minute time period. Try to concentrate on your speed. The test will automatically submit after one minute. After which you will be able to note your gross words per minute and your net words per minute, as well as any mistakes.

More than just quick fingers, a fast typing score requires that your fingers automatically know where to go as they type the next key. If you have to think about where each and every letter or number is, you'll take much too long to get the message out. Do your fingers fly across the keys? Do they seem to know where each key is before you even think about it? If not, you need to practice, practice, practice. The best way to develop a skill or learn how to do something is to actually do it! Regularly typing will help your fingers build the muscle memory they need to jump to the next key without requiring you to closely examine the keyboard every time, helping you increase your typing speed.
